Smart lighting provider Philips Hue has released a new smart mirror and entered a new space in home – bathroom.

The Philips Hue Adore is a round-shaped mirror surrounded by a circular light. It can be hard-wired and has IP44 protection so that a splash of water won’t damage the device.

It can be adjusted to any levels of white lights – from cool white in the morning to warm white in the evening. However, it doesn’t support color lighting.

If homeowners connect Philips Hue Adore to the Hue Bridge, the smart lighting mirror will work with Amazon Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant as well, just like other devices in the Philips Hue ecosystem. Homeowners can ask the voice assistants to adjust the level of the lights or to turn it on and off.

The Philips Hue Adore, coming with a dimmer switch, will be available in the U.S. and Europe in August for US$300.

According to CNET, Philips Hue will showcase the Philips Hue Adore at the coming IFA trade show in Berlin, to be held at the end of August.

In addition, the CNET report says that Philips Hue is also planning to introduce a new Philips Hue Outdoor Lightstrips to join its outdoor lighting product lineup.

Philips Hue has tried all the way to enter a smart home – from indoor to outdoor, from white bulbs to color bulbs. The feature to remotely adjust lighting at home has successfully attracted many people to choose lighting as the first device to put together a smart home.

Philips Hue also supports all the main voice assistants: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri and Cortana.

The company has even linked home entertainment and home lighting, and introduced an app called Philips Hue Sync which syncs videos and music with Philips Hue light bulbs, bringing home entertainment to the next level with lighting effects
