VAVA introduces new home cam with one-year battery life
If homeowners don’t want to take out the battery to recharge periodically, VAVA also offers a solar panel accessory for the VAVA Home Cam, saving users the recharging task.
When every security camera provide HD recording and activity alerts, which features will set them apart to attract consumers’ attention? Electronics manufacturer VAVA has launched on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter a security camera with truly wireless and easy-charging features.

The VAVA Home Cam, according to the company, comes with a specially-engineered rechargeable battery which supports one year of use on a single charge. In addition, the camera uses a more energy-efficient video processing technology and a low-energy wireless protocol for the camera to communicate with the base station.

If homeowners don’t want to take out the battery to recharge periodically, VAVA also offers a solar panel accessory for the VAVA Home Cam, saving users the recharging task.

VAVA offer three different mount types, including outdoor, strong magnetic and desktop mount, to let homeowners place the camera everywhere they want.

The VAVA Home Cam features 1080p recording with 140-degree wide-angle lens, night vision, two-way communication and IP66-rated weatherproof exterior. Its Sony EXMOR IMX323 sensor and advanced H.265 encoding technology enable high-quality video image.

To help protect the home, the camera offers three levels of motion sensitivity, from low, medium to high. Homeowners may program the monitoring so that they only receive important notifications instead of being alerted even when a leave falls.

The VAVA Home Cam offers a 30-day video history review in the cloud for free. It supports128GB encrypted local storage on a microSD card, which can store up to 240 hours of footage in 1080p HD, claims the company.

Homeowners may access video recording on the cloud from the VAVA Home Cam mobile app. They may also share the camera footage with their close contacts in the app.

The VAVA Home Cam, which comes with one camera, one base station (supports up to four VAVA Home Cams), one charging cable and three different mounts, will be available at US$249 and start shipping in December 2018.

VAVA introduced its first security camera, the VAVA Dash Cam, on Kickstarter last year. After learning from users about what’s important for them, it launched the new VAVA Home Cam.
