VELUX Group exhibited its latest innovation, VELUX ACTIVE with Netatmo, at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The product comprises a Wi-Fi gateway, indoor climate sensors and smart controls for VELUX Integra roof windows and sunscreening products, along with a control app for iOS and Android. This smart solution will be available in January 2018.

Based on a range of indoor climate parameters, such as temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels, users will be able to automate roof window and sunscreen operation-thereby ensuring the optimum indoor climate in their home at all times. The solution ensures healthier indoor climate while saving energy.

Users will be able to control the blinds, roof window and sunscreen via app, voice control or a dedicated remote.

“Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the importance of good indoor climate in ensuring good health for themselves and their families,” said Michael K. Rasmussen, SVP Brand at the VELUX Group.

“Coupled with the convenience and potential energy savings offered by smart home integration, VELUX ACTIVE responds to these changing trends and offers a simple way to ensure a healthier, more comfortable home,” continued Rasmussen.
