Bosch Video Management System. A seamless end-to-end security solution

Bosch Video Management System. A seamless end-to-end security solution
The Bosch Video Management System (BVMS) provides seamless management of digital video, audio and security data transmitted across IP networks worldwide. And, it’s scalable, enabling system expansion according to specific requirements up to 200,000 cameras. Now, with the release of version 9.0, the benefits of BVMS are further enhanced.

With their IP camera’s built-in video analytics, security managers can use intelligent streaming to adjust encoder settings for movement in an entire scene, or in sections. This, combined with Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction and H.265 video encoding, helps bitrates to be decreased by up to 80 percent, reducing storage costs and network strain.

BVMS 9.0 also features an updated dynamic dark grey graphical user interface (GUI), making it easier for the operator’s eyes to switch between the dark control room and monitor.

Efficient time management

The new system features several time-saving functions, including individual alarm set-ups that automatically appear on-screen to provide an instant overview of the situation without searching through a list view, and limited image panes on a single screen for quicker interpretation. Even the control of pan-tilt-zoom cameras is more efficient via a drag and drop mode.

Mid-sized applications with up to 256 video channels are catered for by BVMS Plus. Together with BVMS 9.0 it brings the benefits of the highly scalable video management platform at a competitive price. For customers whose needs exceed this, an upgrade to BVMS Professional or BVMS Enterprise is an option.

An intelligent approach to intrusion

Bosch flexible intrusion systems can integrate with BVMS, so operators now have a single user interface to monitor specific areas and manage the intrusion system, without additional hardware or wiring, making it less expensive than other options.

Thanks to state-of-the-art connectivity, integrating BVMS with intrusion control panels is very simple. However, the results are very smart. For example, the system responds to intrusion events by automatically or manually displaying live images or recordings, while a single graphical user interface will identify current intrusion system status and enable the control of areas, outputs, doors and cameras.

Furthermore, for A-grade detection there’s the G-series alarm system panel. It’s designed to protect your property from unauthorized entry via up to 599 detectors, including motion detectors or glass break detectors, integrated with up to 32 access control doors and 16 cameras. Alarms are received on your smartphone via an app and can be forwarded to relevant parties such as security companies and the police.

There are many functional benefits when the G-series operates in partnership with BVMS. It enables you to monitor panel performance, arm or disarm applications remotely and manage event and alarm activity 24/7 using BVMS as the "keypad" for intrusion panels (therefore integrating them into your security management platform). The flexibility and control offered by BVMS and the G-series make them an ideal solution for premises with varying levels of security requirements and changeable opening hours. It’s intuitive, automatically locating intrusion devices once connected to each control panel. And, it’s informative, providing verification of who armed or disarmed an area.

With the introduction of BVMS 9.0 you’re being introduced to a smarter, end-to-end security solution.
