Zaplox has signed an additional agreement with Danish hotel chain Arp-Hansen Hotel Group regarding a continuous roll out of the Zaplox solution for check in and check out – the so called mobile guest journey. The new agreement includes Wakeup Copenhagen’s four hotels with 1,900 rooms in Copenhagen and Århus. The solution implies that the guest will be able to check in and check out using the mobile phone, which will also serve as hotel key.

Last year Zaplox signed its first agreement with Arp-Hansen Hotel Group for the hotel and luxury hostel Steel House Copenhagen.

“The agreement with Arp-Hansen Group confirms the strength in our solution where collaborations often are initiated with one hotel to later comprise all hotels within the group. When the hotel chain notice you get lower costs and increased revenue, and more content hotel guests that don’t have to stand in line at check in and check out, then you want to offer all guests what we call the mobile guest journey”, says Magnus Friberg, CEO Zaplox”

With Zaplox’ solutions, Wakeup Hotels’ guests can book their room, check in, get a mobile key, check out and pay their bill, using their phone. Except the mobile solution Wakeup Hotels offer their guests to use Zaplox Mobile Kiosk where the guest can check in and out at a kiosk in the lobby and retrieve a key card for hotel rooms not having BLE enabled locks.

Today about 50% of all hotel guests book their rooms using the mobile phone and it is a natural step for the guest to continue using the mobile to check in, open the door with the key in the mobile and to check out and pay their hotel stay.
