Hikvision's new wireless bridges help get cameras in hard to reach places
Hikvision has released new wireless bridges for its solid range of IP product lines.
Hikvision, the leading supplier of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has released new wireless bridges for its solid range of IP product lines. The new devices enable wireless communication for horizontal and vertical applications in cases where cables are difficult to install. With Hikvision Wireless Bridges, obstacles that obstruct lying cables are easily overcome, allowing the installation of IP-based products into the most difficult places while providing stable video/audio/data communication without interference. Hikvision’s Wireless solution is particularly suited for construction sites, where it eliminates the need for endless cables that pose potential safety hazards.

Main benefits of the devices are:
  • Zero configuration: Pre-configured, plug-and-play, configuration via web interface possible
  • Fast, easy and cost-effective deployment: Designed for diverse applications (construction sites, fence, elevators), multiple ways to mount the device possible
  • Anti-interference: Automatic environment detection and clear channel selection
  • Stable data transmission guaranteed.
One specific example of application is the Hikvision Wireless Solution for elevators. Hard-wired surveillance cameras or access control systems can be quite costly with regard to both installation and maintenance in elevators. The solution makes it much easier to install and access the devices’ feed from the inside of an elevator while maintaining the highest reliability.

"The wireless solution is an interface between our various product lines closing the loop between front-end and back-end Hikvision devices. The cost-effective solution will enable us to go even further beyond the standard wired limits", says Cenek Maly, Channel Product Manager for non-video products Europe at Hikvision Europe.
