High number of participants attended Adria Security Summit 2017
The largest security industry conference and exhibition in the Adriatic region gathered experts from 27 countries.
The third Adria Security Summit brought together a record number of participants from the Adriatic region and the rest of the world. This year’s conference and exhibition was held at new convention center in Šibenik with more than 600 guests, which is 20% more compared to the previous year.

Sixty-seven exhibitors from 27 countries from the region and the rest of world set up their booths across more than 1,500 m² of available exhibition space: Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Macedonia, Netherlands, Italy, China, United Kingdom, Germany, Serbia, Czech Republic, Austria, United States, Canada, etc.

Companies such as: Bosch, Dahua, Alarm Automatika, Avigilon, HikVision, Securitas, Zarja Elektronika, Adva Solutions, Alfatec group, Assa Abloy, Ateis, Axxon, Comnet, D-Link, El.Mo., Elko, Eynio, Honeywell, Indigo Vision, Inim Electronics, Iskratel, Jablotron, Lince, Mobicom, Mojo Networks, Optex, Ortus, Sony, Promise Technology, Tsec, Vicon and Vivotek are some of the leading sponsors and exhibitors at this year's conference.

Speaking about the achievements of the Adria Security Summit, the chairman of the organizing committee Mahir Hodžid said that all statistical data indicated that this was the most significant security industry event in the Adriatic region.

 
“After year-long preparations which involved nearly 150 persons, we can say that we are satisfied with what has been done. Many global companies have been active here for many years now, and we can say that our markets do not lag behind global trends, which is really important not only for this sector but for our communities as well.”

Fifteen presentations and two panel discussions with 10 participants were organized on the first two days of the. In addition, 10 projects competing for the Case Study Excellence Awards were presented. On the third day of the Summit, a trip to Šibenik was organized for all participants.

The regional significance of the Summit was highlighted by Danijel Jerkovid, head of security systems for Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina at Bosch Security Systems. “I am very glad that we are together again at such an imposing place. Every event that gathers experts, and have regional character that reflects upon every country is step forward for security branch.”


Aleš Dejak, Sales Manager for Adriatic Region at Dahua Technology, said that his company supported the organization of the Summit. “We are at the Summit for the third time. It is surely the most professional and biggest event in the region, and I wholeheartedly support it together with Dahua, and we will gladly come again.” Siniša Pintarid, Regional Manager for Adriatic Region at Honeywell, also pointed out that there was nothing comparable to this event at the regional level. “We follow it from the beginning and I think it deserves praise because there is nothing like this in the region, and I hope that it will continue in the coming years. I'm delighted.”

The presenters have emphasized that security industry companies face numerous challenges, such as cybercrime, border protection, social engineering, illegal use of drones, as well as the challenges related to connecting and integrating security and protection systems. Panelists from Adriatic countries have agreed that there are many opportunities for investment and progress, as confirmed by the growing number of the Summit visitors every year.
