AirAsia X Berhad is a leading long-haul, low-cost airline, operating primarily in the Asia-Pacific region, and the company employs many local employees and staff from around the region. Recently, their maintenance office located in Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 is installed with FingerTec TA500 as the primary solution to monitor the time & attendance of around 300 of its maintenance employees. Running an aircraft company is not an easy feat and staff discipline is an integral part of AirAsia X’s operation. Their maintenance office needs to make sure that they have a way to control and monitor the staff effectively yet delicately.

TA500 is one of the latest fingerprint time attendance devices from FingerTec, that can cater up to 2000 fingerprint templates and 8000 transaction logs, more than enough to sustain the capacity of AirAsia X Maintenance Office. With FingerTec biometrics device, a user only needs to place a finger on the scanner for less than 2 seconds to get it verified and all the records are kept in the bundled software, TCMS V3 for further processing. From the data, the management can single out all attendance anomalies and find a way to tackle the problems before they became serious.
