Dahua Technology USA has announced that Steven Cruz, Senior Business Development Manager, North America, Strategic Transportation Solutions, has been selected to serve on the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Public Safety and Legislative Committees for the 2017 session.
Dahua Technology USA has announced that Steven Cruz, Senior Business Development Manager, North America, Strategic Transportation Solutions, has been selected to serve on the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Public Safety and Legislative Committees for the 2017 session.
The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is a nonprofit international association of more than 1,500 public and private sector organizations, engaged in the areas of bus, paratransit, light rail, commuter rail, subways, waterborne services, and intercity and high-speed passenger rail. APTA is the only association in North America that represents all modes of public transportation. Members serve the public interest by providing safe, efficient, and economical transit services and products.

Members of the Public Safety and Legislative Committees are active in all areas of concern to the public transportation industry. In March, Cruz represented APTA in meetings with the offices of Senator John Cornyn, Senator Ted Cruz, Congressman Kevin Brady, and Congressman Pete Olson to discuss ways to improve public transportation and how Dahua Technology initiatives can provide value to the transportation industry.
The committees are structured to provide interaction among members in a wide range of transit disciplines. As a committee member, Cruz will provide input on issues and challenges affecting his area of expertise within the industry, which includes security and safe cities initiatives.
