The state-of-the-art technology solution is used to scan bar codes on driver licenses and other forms of government-issued identification to spot altered and fake IDs.
With more than 1.5 million visitors every year and an explosion in the city’s residential growth, this large metropolitan police department is responsible for the enforcement of the southeast city’s state alcoholic beverage control laws. Its enforcement efforts include restaurants, bars, clubs, grocery stores and every retail outlet that sells alcoholic products, with special attention directed toward the possession and use of alcohol by underage persons. Equipped with Age ID, ABC officers no longer have to experience the time-consuming and lengthy delays associated with contacting dispatch to authenticate IDs. During busy times, like Friday and Saturday nights, delays in receiving information can be formidable.
