Paxton, the UK provider of electronic IP access control and door entry solutions has announced the integration of its networked access control system,
Net2, with GEMOS, a physical security information management (PSIM) platform from ela-soft. The integration allows access control events via Net2 to be viewed alongside other security applications on one comprehensive user interface.
Combining more than 750 existing applications, GEMOS layers the physical position of each alert and all system devices onto a site plan. It is able to receive alerts from more than 500,000 data points in one installation, and can identify the exact location of each alarm. Operators can then instantly activate illumination in the exact area of concern to aid CCTV image capture. The integration with Net2 will simplify the security management of a site, providing an audit trail of access control events within the PSIM.
Paxton provides access control systems which meet the challenges and trends of the security market. With over 30 years’ experience, the company offers engineering excellence, creating simple, yet intelligent and innovative products, that are straightforward to install, use and maintain. Net2 is the UK’s most popular access control solution, with more than 150 additional buildings being fitted out with it every week. The security system offers centralised administration and control of sites ranging from one to hundreds of doors, and thousands of users.
Since 1990, ela-soft has been developing manufacturer-neutral management systems for security, building and communication technology. GEMOS is the leading security information management system in the German market with over 700 different proprietary interfaces and over 600 installations.
Normen Wollmann, CEO of ela-soft said, “It was a natural progression for us to integrate Paxton’s Net2 access control software into our GEMOS PSIM platform. We both operate in security critical environments where the protection of people and assets is vital. Access control events with Net2 can now be easily viewed via the GEMOS platform, helping us to offer an even better solution to our customers”.
Gareth O’Hara, Paxton’s Chief Sales Officer, said, “At Paxton, we develop innovative solutions that represent the company’s ethos of simplicity and quality, whilst answering the needs of the security market. It’s a pleasure to be working with ela-soft, a company who place as much importance as we do on innovation, to offer customers a solution they have been asking for.”
