Trimec migrates into Union
Union, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has announced that the high-quality Trimec range will be migrated into its product portfolio from March 2017.
Union, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has announced that the high-quality Trimec range will be migrated into its product portfolio from March 2017.

The move further strengthens Union’s product range, allowing the company to broaden its range of mechanical locking solutions into electromechanical strikes, offering the customer a complete door hardware package.

Bringing together two market leading brands means Union can concentrate its R&D efforts, setting the foundation for a more extensive range of electromechanical products to be added to the company’s portfolio over the coming years.

Eryl Jones, Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, explained, “Specializing in electric strikes and an impressive range of patented electromechanical technologies since 1990, Trimec has established a reputation for itself as a leading provider of superior electromechanical locking solutions. This reputation will continue under Union.

“The benefits to this are three-fold. Firstly, it means customers have access to a one-stop shop for door hardware solutions. Secondly, it allows us to consolidate our R&D activities, ensuring we can continue to strengthen Union’s product portfolio with electromechanical technologies. Finally, it means we can offer a comprehensive range of solutions for the commercial market, meeting our customers’ every need.”

Trimec will be migrated onto the Union website in March 2017, while marketing literature will be updated throughout the year.

The Trimec range will deliver the same high-performance and reliable solutions that customers have come to expect, but simply as a product range name under the Union brand. Trimec product codes will not be changed and customers can continue to order using the existing ones.
