Increased security due to the Secure Element
In the future, the key material of the reader IC will be saved in secured, hardened hardware, the Secure Element. The Secure Element, which is certified in accordance with the Common Criteria EAL5+, offers perfect conditions for innovative and secure applications in the Internet of Things. Thanks to the Secure Element, it is possible to encode communication channels which require end-to-end security. Even IoT applications, which were not previously feasible due to insufficient security components, can now be realized.
Integration of Bluetooth Smart
Bluetooth Smart enables an endless number of applications with your smartphone. IoT, hospitality and car-sharing solutions, as well as smart home and payment applications - the possibilities are endless. The trusted service LEGIC Connect carries out the personalization. Three-dimensional processing of chip components in a minute space means that it can support two contactless technologies (RFID and Bluetooth Smart) and react very quickly to technical changes.
6000 series as part of the LEGIC technology platform
The new 6000 series is part of LEGIC’s open technology platform for smart ID solutions. The five components LEGIC Connect, Mobile SDK, Reader ICs, Smartcard ICs und LEGIC’s Key Management work together perfectly and guarantee secure ID and IoT applications.
With the trusted service LEGIC Connect, authorizations can be granted and withdrawn easily on a mobile phone. To do this, a mobile app is used, which is based on LEGIC’s software development kit. The mobile ID rights are then uploaded and processed by a reader with LEGIC technology. The state-of-the-art key management means it is possible to implement secure ID solutions without having to grapple with the issue of cryptography and key management.
All current LEGIC reader series support RFID as well as mobile solutions, meaning mobile solutions can be combined with LEGIC prime, LEGIC advant and Mifare smartcards.
