For example, cameras should be resistant to the corrosive effect of beach environments. At the same time, the cameras should be aesthetically harmonious with the luxury facilities, without affecting the guest well-being.
Solution
The hotel chain decides to install a complete security solution, in which the video is the core element. More than 200 cameras minidomo IP 1,3 megapixel, vandalproof. For the spacious rooms and the lobby the hotel installs cameras domo IP PTZ 1,3 megapixel, which cover large areas in detail thanks to its optical zoom. Outdoor, bullet cameras infrared are able to capture details in any condition, and withstands moisture of the marine environment. Ultimately, the solutions combines cameras with high quality images that enables a quick identification.
In order to manage all cameras, SCATI provides the hotel KRAKEN, the professional mass recording platform, able to manage up to 256 cameras. This modular architecture is ideal to centralized management of all the cameras in the hotel, which reduces the costs of the cameras in hardware, power and space.
KRAKEN ensures the continuous operation of the system thanks to its advanced server failover mechanisms and its RAID 6 storage configuration and hardware redundancy. The solutions provides full reliability, all accompanied by the
SCATI VISION self-diagnosis features, which continuously monitors the software status for complete security.
The efficient management of the system is achieved thanks to the operation and monitoring solutions implemented,
SCATI WATCHER and
SCATI WALL. The first one offers the hotel the possibility to visualize in real time the rooms with access to recorded video in an efficient way, alarm management, etc. With all these functionalities the hotel is able to respond rapidly to any event. Furthermore, the search of recorded video is simple and intuitive, providing the forensic analysis. Meanwhile, SCATI WALL is a professional monitoring of a large number of cameras. User-friendly thanks to the implementation of scenario and camera sequence settings, PTZ camera operation, digital zoom to identify individuals, etc. High incident response capabilities thanks to automatic viewing of images associated with alarms.
Advantages
Implementing comprehensive security measure in hotels brings with a deterrent against vandalism, theft, entry to restricted areas and claims for any damages suffered by users in case of accidents or incidents at the hotel facilities. This leads to significant reduction of costs and an improvement of the brand image of the hotel.
With the security platform, the video surveillance system is a powerful tool to prevent events and it reduces to the minimum the response time, which can lead to a greater profitability of the facilities.
On this occasion, the use of SCATI's video surveillance system offers the security manager of the resort a powerful tool to see the facilities and service status. At the same time, the hotel is able to make an analysis of the flows of goods and people in all the spaces. The hotel has a flexible security system capable of covering the security needs of any type of event: ceremonies, congresses, exhibitions, banquets, etc.
With the video surveillance security platform, this hotel guarantees its commitment with the security and the privacy of the clients. The security system is considered by the guest as a guarantor of the welfare, one of the most important things in such a tourist destination as Cancun (Mexico). Furthermore, thanks to the single video surveillance security system, the Security Department is able to integrate the video with other subsystems such as fire alarms and access controls.
