Nedap and Milestone integrates AEOS access control and XProtect VMS
Nedap and Milestone Systems have previously announced a strategic partnership. Now, they're launching the integration of Nedap's AEOS access control platform with Milestone’s XProtect Video Management System. The integration enhances usability and offers ultimate choice of freedom.

“In the past 35 years, we’ve seen the world changing,” said Jeroen Harmsen, Technology Partner Manager at Nedap. “From our experiences in 72 countries and systems ranging from one to ten-thousands of doors on multiple sites, we know end-users need flexibility to respond to that relentless change. That’s why we develop AEOS as an open platform. We offer our own, very powerful access control solutions topped off with state of the art integrations with industry leading biometric-, wireless locking-, elevator- and VMS-systems, such as Milestone’s xProtect system.

The integration offers end-users one clear, real-time overview. Via a map display with icons they can view events and alarms as they happen and execute the desired action quickly. The integration combines powerful authorisation management, unlimited scalability in numbers of doors and cardholders and freedom of choice in third party integration possibilities of AEOS with the advanced video functionality of Milestone. This adds value for end-users as they can put together a security solution that fits their needs, now and in the future, without suffering from vendor lock-in and incompatible systems.

“This integration is another proof point that interoperability and community focus are the keys to success. Integrated solutions like this based on true open platform technology are a very important focus area for us.” says Thomas Lausten, Vice President of EMEA at Milestone Systems. “This integration provides value to our ever growing partner community as it enables them to deliver the highest quality solutions based on true open platform technology.”
