STOPware shifts visitor management technology into overdrive

STOPware, developer in visitor management technology, has been on the move since migrating back to its initial status as an independently owned and operated company two years ago. With the company’s software and product development focused on the creation of powerful new capabilities and integrations with other industry leading technology partners, STOPware anticipates that 2016 will be a breakout year.

“We believe that the large investment in product development over the past few years will further solidify our position as the leader in visitor management technology,” said Paul Terschuren, CEO, STOPware. “By working closely with both end users and our reseller partners, we’ve identified and built the features and functionalities that customers want most from their visitor management solutions.”

New and ongoing software development efforts addressed two major initiatives; enhanced feature sets for the company’s renowned PassagePoint Visitor Management Software, and a range of new access control system integrations. STOPware has also continued to add to its hardware offering with new self-registration kiosks and tablets that enable the company to deliver turnkey visitor management solutions.

PassagePoint Global includes a host of new features including the ability for schools and children’s hospitals to perform an instant sex offender registry search for every visitor, a powerful HL-7 patient tracking module for healthcare facilities, and a new PIV module that processes PIV-compliant credentials in compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), which is required for most government buildings.

New access control integrations for STOPware include leading manufacturers such as Lenel, AMAG, S2 and RS2, improving the security of buildings and campuses while lowering total costs. The PassagePoint AC Integration offers a number of benefits: a single interface enables greater speed and accuracy in scanning and tracking visitors, as well as greater control via user-defined security access privileges and real-time activation and de-activation of badges. In addition, STOPware has continually made enhancements to existing AC integrations with premiere manufacturers including: Software House, IDenticard, Galaxy Control Systems, and many more.

Joining STOPware’s popular line of self-registration kiosks and tablets is the recently introduced ruggedized DT Research Tablet. Pre-loaded with PassagePoint and integrated with the appropriate hardware, the tablet enables a fully mobile visitor check-in process. A driver’s license scanner, camera and barcode scanner are built-in to the tablet; the addition of a mobile printer makes it possible to verify visitors at any location including entry gates and checkpoints to create accurate audit trails.

“STOPware continues to grow and improve with new innovations in visitor management technology, experienced personnel, customer support and technology partners,” continued Mr. Terschuren. “As the professional security landscape continues to migrate towards higher integrations and the enterprise, our customers and partners can count on STOPware to stay ahead of the curve.”
