AMG Systems is pleased to announce the introduction of a new range of Industrial grade Ethernet media converters and semi-managed switches.  Designed and built in the UK, these compact and robust devices are designed for deployment in challenging industrial environments. All units incorporate SFP slots for optical media or Ethernet (including up to 500m over CAT5e), either 100Mbps or 1Gbps speeds, PoE/PoE+ options and dual power inputs.

Passive cooling, aluminium construction, compact design and wide temperature range options make these products ideal for manufacturing facilities, utilities sites, petrochem, transportation and other large scale site security applications where performance and resilience in an industrial environment are of paramount importance.

AMG’s wide range of compatible SFPs offer huge flexibility in choice of optical media including multi-mode and single mode optical fibre up to distances of 120Km and extended copper Ethernet allowing up to 100Mbps over 500m using CAT5e.

Features and Benefits
  • Compact design: Ideal for confined spaces such as housings, camera poles and cabinets
  • DIN or surface mount: Supplied with both mounting options for flexibility
  • SFP media port: Supports plug in SFP modules for choice of fibre optic and Ethernet media
  • Extreme temperature range: -10°C to 60°C or -40°C to 75°C options suit most industrial environments
  • Semi managed uplink port: Prevents multicast flooding to local Ethernet connected devices, ideal for video surveillance applications where unmanaged switches are inappropriate and managed switches require programing/commissioning and can be cost prohibitive
  • Aluminium casing: Robust mechanical design with passive cooling – no fans
  • PoE and PoE+ per port: Up to 30W per Ethernet port provides power to connected PoE enabled devices, eliminating the need for additional multiple power supplies and cabling
