FIPS 201 is a U.S. government standard that specifies Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requirements for federal employees and contractors.

Federal Agencies may procure only qualified products and services listed in the APL to facilitate the federal government’s objective of a fully interoperable Federal Identity Credential and Access Management (FICAM) architecture, ensuring compliance, consistency and alignment of commercially available products and services with requirements and functional needs of government FICAM implementers.

System Galaxy, a scalable, enterprise-class access control and management solution, seamlessly integrates security and building management functions. Additional features include active directory support to enable real-time identity management, individualized identity-based door access, and the ability to generate specific reports for each screen view or credential holder. Data can be shared with other systems such as time and attendance, visitor management, time clocks, parking garages and personal messaging. System Galaxy accommodates unlimited users and is also accessible from mobile web browsers and designed for backward compatibility with all legacy Galaxy systems.
