Xesar 2.0 provides an improved overview, more convenient operation as well as maintenance and the system is highly secure in any application. With the new software release EVVA will also offer a trailblazing enhancement as an optional extra: the virtual network. "Xesar 2.0 with the virtual network is unique on the market for electronic access system. Thanks to the maximum level of available and up-to-date data it is possible for the first time to obtain an overview of doors with outdated states that still require updating and blocked identification media that are still in circulation with only one click", Christoph Karl, EVVA Xesar product manager, explains. The virtual network must be additionally enabled using the Softwareplus card.

The virtual network uses the issued identification media to exchange information between software and doors to always keep the system up to date. "The Softwareplus card is required to enable the Xesar virtual network. It is available from any EVVA Partner. Then simply expose the code on the rear of the card, enter it in the Xesar software in the Softwareplus package section. The virtual network is then activated for a period of three years."
Identification media are provided with update information (blacklist) from a central coding station (also possible with wall readers from autumn 2015). Select any validity periods for identification media: "We recommend validity periods of under ten days to keep the level of upto-date identification media in circulation to a maximum", Karl explains.
The information is then transferred from door to door on the way through the facility. In this process, identification media update door states and collect door information, such as battery states, access events, deletions or unlocking attempts by blocked media. The information is subsequently passed on to coding stations, where it is evaluated to reconfigure the security status in the software.
"Security has never been as transparent as with the new Xesar virtual network. The automatic, real-time evaluation feature means your facility is always up to date in terms of security", Karl adds in light of the functional enhancements of Xesar.
