Paxton has announced an upgrade to the integration of its networked access control system, Net2, with Entertech, the official operating partner of Suprema.
Entertech's ‘BioConnect for Net2' allows seamless connectivity of Suprema biometric readers and Paxton's Net2 access control platform, enabling the straightforward addition of biometrics to Net2 and providing a user-friendly interface to manage building security more easily Net2 is Paxton's advanced networked access control solution. The security system offers centralised administration and control of sites ranging from one to hundreds of doors, and thousands of users. Rather than managing badge records in two different systems (Net2 for access control and another for the biometric templates), BioConnect seamlessly integrates proven biometrics into the Net2 access control solution. Using a simple enrolment window, users and badge records can be found and biometric templates added easily.
Frequent upgrades to Entertech BioConnect make it ideal for continuously evolving business requirements, with new functions and features released as they become available.
The most recent upgrade includes the following feature improvements:
* Setup assistant allowing for easier installation with the user able to automatically install and configure the SQL Server/database to work with BioConnect and create the connection to the Net2 system
* A re-designed user interface with an improved layout providing a more intuitive and easy to navigate system
* New device management features offering straightforward device control including firmware updates and network configuration
