ORing presents Gigabit Ethernet PoE switches for railway applications

ORing presents Gigabit Ethernet PoE switches for railway applications
IP surveillance for rolling stock applications has become a global trend as digitization and open structure contributes to the integration of various in-vehicle systems such as infotainment, VoIP phones, IP cameras, and NVR (Network Video Recorder). As a result, demand for high-port-density Ethernet switches has been on the rise. With a long-standing history in the railway Ethernet switch market, ORing is pleased to present a new series of Gigabit Ethernet PoE switches tailored for railway applications – the TGPS-9084GT-M12 and TGPS-9164GT-M12.

Designed for harsh industrial environments, the TGPS-9084GT-M12 and TGPS-9164GT-M12 are ideal for rural areas or places with cabling difficulties thanks to their compliance with IEEE 802.3af/at standards. The P.S.E. (Power Sourcing Equipment) ports of the switches will enable onboard IP surveillance equipment to be powered over Ethernet cables, eliminating the need for additional power cables in the vehicles and hence reducing cabling costs. The TGPS-9084GT-M12 and TGPS-9164GT-M12 are especially suitable for complicated and distributed railway systems. In addition, the switches feature a wide operating temperature between -40 and 70°C, an IP-30 casing, and vibration-resistant M12 connectors. As a result, the switches can ensure reliable and uninterrupted network connections during movement.

The TGPS-9084GT-M12 and TGPS-9164GT-M12 come with 8 and 16 10/100/1000Base-T(X) P.S.E ports respectively to facilitate transmission of high-bandwidth HD traffic. The BP2 models provide two sets of bypass ports. During normal operation, the bypass ports will pass all network traffic through the appliance. When the in-line appliance fails due to power outage, the bypass ports will pass traffic directly between its network ports, bypassing the appliance to ensure traffic continues to flow on the network link. The 24V models provide Power Boost function which can boost the 12~57VDC input power to 50~57VDC for output to meet PoE needs. The switches are also equipped with two power supply modules to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

Apart from the TGPS-9084GT-M12 and TGPS-9164GT-M12 designed for more complicated operations, ORing has also provided the TGPS-1080-M12 PoE switch for customers looking for cost-effective, entry-level solutions.

ORing is backed up by a team of marketing specialists and technical staff that provide topnotch and real-time services.
