Raytec is reported to have won a coveted Security Essen Technology Innovation award for their new VARIO IPPoE range of network illuminators. The UK CCTV lighting manufacturer fought off tough competition and beat 6 other big names in manufacturing to win the bronze title at the German exhibition.

As the first ever IP addressable CCTV illuminator, VARIO IPPoE has made a big name for itself in the security industry and it is now the most decorated CCTV lighting product in the world. VARIO IPPoE has also won an IFSEC Award for Best CCTV System of the Year 2013, and was also an ISC West and GIT Security Award Finalist for Best New Product.

VARIO IPPoE enables users to not only control their IP cameras remotely, but to also control their lighting in the same way too, for the highest level of security and safety 24/7.

Controlled via a user friendly web interface, video management system or new HTTP commands, VARIO IPPoE provides dedicated IP lighting for network cameras, allowing for remote set up, commissioning, operation and maintenance of your lighting scheme from any location on the network.

Available in both Infra-Red and White-Light LED, lighting can be controlled via other network devices e.g. cameras/detectors/VMS and easily triggered on alarm to deter crime on site. Users can also take instant remote control over any illuminator at any time to respond to live events and alter settings to fine-tune CCTV images. Lighting can also be operated in groups, making it much easier and quicker to control large sites.

Furthermore, with the launch of new HTTP commands, it is now even easier to integrate network lighting into your system, with easy configuration at device interface level rather than at a software level.
