Surveillance video standards organisation the HDcctv Alliance will present a seminar focused on the future of HD CCTV in smart buildings on the first morning of IFSEC International 2014 in London.
Many major manufacturers have recognised end user demand for HD video, whatever the transport technology - hence they have embraced HD-SDI alongside IP cameras. Now, with the 2014 ratification of two new HDcctv standards, the options for providing end users with a High Definition surveillance system are greater than ever.
Todd Rockoff, HDcctv Alliance executive director, will be delivering the presentation. He said: “This seminar session is ideal for anyone with an interest in the design of HD surveillance systems for smart buildings. That includes installers, integrators, specifiers, security managers and manufacturers. HD technology isn't just limited to IP cameras and knowing why and when to make the right technology choice can be confusing. This presentation will help to make those choices clearer and provide alternatives so that end users ultimately can enjoy the best quality video for their security needs.”
Todd will be joined during the seminar by Giovanni Pugliese, CEO of HDcctv Alliance member Telecom & Security, an Italian company which designs and manufactures the CaP or Connettore a Pressione (Pressure-on Connector), a revolutionary and simple means of making coaxial connections. CaP has been awarded Best of CES and Best Design and Engineering Innovation at the Consumer Electronic Show - Las Vegas. Giovanni will discuss the way in which the CaP can help security installers work faster and smarter.
