Panasonic, a provider of video surveillance cameras and solutions, announced the new release of the WV-ASR500 server based recording and video management system that runs on Microsoft Windows server. WV-ASR500 provides a full-featured IP video surveillance system from middle to large organizations, supporting up to 64 cameras per server.

Panasonic, a provider of video surveillance cameras and solutions, announced the new release of the WV-ASR500 server based recording and video management system that runs on Microsoft Windows server. WV-ASR500 provides a full-featured IP video surveillance system from middle to large organizations, supporting up to 64 cameras per server.

Built on standards-based IP technology, WV-ASR500 offers an open, flexible, scalable and easy-to-use video surveillance system, working with the network cameras of Panasonic and over 50 vendors. Combining with the Panasonic network cameras and the WV-ASM200/WV-ASM970 client software, WV-ASR500 features all the functionality required for recording and video management for today's and tomorrow's business needs, including viewing on PCs and smartphones, recording, alarming, searching and management features.

WV-ASR500 also works with the WV-ASF900 facial recognition analytics platform that performs video pattern matching and detects persons registered on the WV-ASF900. Electric access control (EAC) and POS system provided by 3rd parties are planned to support in 2014.
