Guts Securitech is a subsidiary of Guts Investigation, a 35-year-old guarding company, and was started decades ago as a security division of its mother company to support Electronic Security Systems services to its customers. The mother company and its subsidiary has a closely knit working relationship, where Guts Securitech will supply ESS to Guts Investigation customers where the products and services may needs. In its adolescence, the company had started with analog products for the first five to six years, and transitioned to IP-based products.

Currently, Guts Securitech is the sole distributor of the full range of Avigilon products in Thailand. However, the company also wishes to expand its product portfolio to include access control and other systems. The company provides training both from Avigilon and in-house training for dealers and users to educate them about the products. In regards to establishing partnerships, the company likes to choose dealers who target specific verticals. Of the current dealers they are partnered with, half of them are focused on government projects and the remainder is focused in commercial or home use. Government projects account for 80 percent of its revenues. Now that there is a heightened awareness of the importance of security, people in Thailand are starting to use higher quality products, in comparison to a couple of years ago when cheaper products with lower quality were sufficient.

The company has been seeing phenomenal growth in the Thailand market, each year with growth at 100 percent. However, the growth can partially be contributed to the government incentive that was rolled out early last year in 2012, raising the minimum labor wage by 60 percent. This makes it harder for enterprises to hire guards so they resort to using electronic security equipment to reduce headcount instead.
