Cross Match Technologies to consolidate operations Jena in Germany

Cross Match Technologies to consolidate operations Jena in Germany
Cross Match Technologies announced that it is consolidating its operations and technology teams to improve synergies, accelerate development, and enhance profitability.

Cross Match Technologies announced that it is consolidating its operations and technology teams to improve synergies, accelerate development, and enhance profitability. This effort will consolidate the Company's Jena, Germany facilities and operations, which were acquired as a part of its purchase of Smiths Heimann Biometrics in 2005, into its existing Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Arlington, Virginia operations.

"The efficiencies and synergies we expect to realize as a result of this decision will be a direct benefit to our customers,” said David Buckley, President and CEO of Cross Match. “Cross Match remains fully committed to our European customers and business partners.”

“Discussions are beginning with the works council in order to compensate affected employees and to ensure a smooth transition. We do not anticipate that the consolidation will impact customer orders, support, or service”, said Milton Dean, Cross Match's COO, “We maintain highly capable and fully staffed operations and technology teams in North America which already provide support and services throughout the world.”

Cross Match Technologies was acquired by Francisco Partners in July of 2012 and launched its new Guardian ten-print livescan device and WEBS internet enabled biometric software solution later that year. The Company launched the much anticipated SEEK Avenger multi-biometric handheld solution earlier this year.
