The 516-roomed Damyung Resort Geoje in Geoje, South Korea, recently deployed a HD-SDI video surveillance system, consisting of 360 Webgate (a division of Daemyung Enterprise) cameras and 48 HD DVRs, to monitor its facilities.

With 32 stories, Ocean Bay (Water Park), eight convention rooms, restaurants, wedding hall and many subsidiary facilities, the Damyung Resort Geoje that opened last June is expected to become the new landmark of the Geoje region. The completion of Geoga bridge has made its accessibility from Busan more convenient, not to mention that Ocean Bay is the biggest water park in the southern part of Korea. From the initial stage of resort design, the Damyung Resort Geoje had considered using Webgate's HD-SDI system.

Security officials of the resort requested all the cameras to have full-frame video without frame drops. Also, they requested consistent 30 frame recording for essential areas like lobby, entrance of the parking lot. In addition, facilities management staffs requested to be able to perform necessary video monitoring at their office rooms.

Following the customer's needs, Webgate provided 48 set of eight channel HD DVRs with more than 360 cameras consisting of box, dome and PTZ types and 52 set of monitors for the security solution. To insure the best quality of all HD-SDI videos, fiber-optic solutions were applied for video transmission. All DVRs were also connected to local network, so the management staffs can easily monitor critical points.
