Schneider expanded its facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, the center of development for its Pelco IP and megapixel security products. The new facility, which includes new test laboratories and workspace, is double the size of the previous building. The company has plans for further investment, expansion and hiring efforts at this facility to drive the development of IP technologies.

Today more than 80 percent of Pelco customers rely on the company's IP video products for their security solutions and that number is growing rapidly.

More than 90 percent of Pelco R&D resources are focused on IP products.
In addition to the new IP cameras that will be launched this year, there will be extensions to other popular lines including the HD high-speed dome positioning systems, thermal imaging and VMS. Earlier this year the powerful IP integrated PTZ and pressurized camera system, built to endure extreme environmental conditions was released. These pan/tilt cameras feature dynamic window blanking, auto tracking, internal scheduling clock plus other functions that were l formerly reserved for high-speed domes.
Schneider's existing IP solutions, such as the mapping interface software and VMS platforms, will continue to evolve, incorporating video security standards, including support for and compliance with ONVIF, IPv6, and DIACAP Information Assurance protocols. In addition to investment in development of new IP technologies, Schneider is continuing to focus on Pelco brand customers and partners.
