MicroPower Technologies appoints CEO

MicroPower Technologies, a provider of enterprise-class wireless surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, announced that Aaron Tankersley has been named the company’s new President and CEO, effective immediately. Tankersley is responsible for leading and driving the company’s next phase of expansion and growth in new and existing markets. Jon Siann, the company’s founder will continue to serve on the MicroPower board of directors.

Tankersley is responsible for leading and driving the company's next phase of expansion and growth in new and existing markets. Tankersley contributes more than 12 years of senior leadership expertise and his career has involved working for both private and public entities, including Fortune Global 500 companies such as HSBC. Tankersley recently served as CEO of Pixon Imaging, a developer of software and hardware focused on real-time image processing. Previously, he was president of an operating subsidiary for HSBC where he led a team of 1,000 employees and had direct responsibility for more than $10 billion of assets. Prior to HSBC, Tankersley held the role of principal with The Boston Consulting Group.
