Avigilon, a supplier in HD and megapixel video surveillance solutions, announced the appointment of Danny Kam to the role of VP of Engineering. In this position, he will ensure the successful execution of the product road map, and be responsible for the overall management and growth of the engineering organization.

In this position, he will ensure the successful execution of the product road map, and be responsible for the overall management and growth of the engineering organization.

Based in Vancouver, B.C., Kam will report to Alexander Fernandes, President and CEO.

Danny Kam, VP of Engineering
With more than 20 years of engineering and management experience, Danny Kam will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the software and hardware engineering teams. As the senior director and site manager at Redback Networks Vancouver branch, Kam successfully grew the engineering organization from 60 engineers to more than 200. In 2006, Ericsson acquired Redback Networks for US$2.1 billion. In addition to his senior management roles with Ericsson and Redback Networks, Kam has also held management positions at Nortel Networks, Applied Digital Access / MPR Teltech and Bell Northern Research.
