Sony announced today the launch of its new Full HD LCD Security Monitors series, the 24” SSM-L24F1 and the 22” SSM-L22F1. With brilliantly sharp visuals built on Sony's video screen technologies, these monitors offer security and surveillance professionals a powerful crime detection and prevention solution. Both monitors will be launched at this year's Asian Securitex in Hong Kong, taking place from 4-6 June.

A common challenge to security monitors is image burn-in, caused when a static image is displayed for long periods of time. Equipped with Sony's own Image Sticking Management (ISM) technology, the SSM-L24F1 and the SSM-L22F1 prevent image burn-in to ensure great image quality, longer lifespans and minimal maintenance downtime.

Both monitors also offer crisp, crystal clear visuals in 1080p Full HD quality, making it easier to monitor activities with greater clarity and detail. VGA, HDMI, DVI-D, CVBS (BNC), and S-Video inputs ensure compatibility with most existing security systems, while the standard VESA mount allows for easy mounting as part of a multi-screen video wall, public display, or monitoring arrangements.

“Drawing on our wealth of experience in professional monitors, Sony fully understands how important image quality is to security and surveillance professionals,” said Riki Nishimura, General Manager of Security Solutions, Professional Solutions Company (PSAP), Sony Electronics Asia Pacific. “Adding important features like ISM and 1080p resolution, as well as exceptional system compatibility, Sony has made it possible for customers to monitor and observe even the most subtle activities effortlessly. With the launch of these new security monitors, we now offer customers a complete ecosystem of end-to-end security solutions that can grant them peace of mind.”

Sony welcomes all visitors to its booth (1A-500) at the Asian Securitex for a chance to see the new security monitors in action.
