Honeywell introduces the latest release of MAXPRO VMS software. It introduces IP Engine and new features.

MAXPRO VMS will now be distributed as a two-DVD set with IP Engine. The current part numbers will remain. For upgarding existing R240 systems and for demo purposes, HNMUPG300 contains the two-DVD set and a 60-day trial license once installed.

New features and benefits of MAXPRO VMS:
● Multi-tier MAXPRO VMS support: This is required architecture for sites that have hundreds of recorders and the load may be too great for one MAXPRO VMS server. It allows for distributed server architecture.

● Rubber band PTZ control: MAXPRO VMS now incorporates a more user-friendly “rubber band” technique to control PTZs, which makes it easier to follow a subject.

● Viewer Persistence: Viewer control position and size can be saved, and will remain after logging off and on. This improves user efficiency as the operator does not have to customize the layout each time they log in.

● Time/Date Format: Now adjustable for image and clip view, making it easier to sort images and clips.

● Alarm Event Control: This can be disabled to remove loads on the MAXPRO VMS server.

New features and benefits of IP Engine:
● New OS Support: Support for Server 2008 (64-bit) and Windows 7 32-bit (64-bit coming soon).

● Dual Streaming Support with Independent Settings: Record at H.264 and watch live with M-JPEG, to reduce storage costs.

● Higher camera density per server (disk write improvements).

● Integration with newest AXIS and other third party cameras, including H.264.

● Audio support for IP cameras.

● Pelco D PTZ protocol embedded.

● Camera server redundancy.
