Earlier, the school implemented an analog system to protect and monitor activities. However, it did not cover all of the school's area. Coaxial cabling was a problem for the four-storey building, making future expansion an expensive proposition.
Lanna Telecom and Network proposed a network camera system with a much lower installation and maintenance costs. The school's management was impressed by a demonstration and appreciated the "Live View" capability that enables authorized staff to view cameras in the school remotely over an Internet connection.
The management chose compact Axis network cameras suitable for use indoors. The cameras have been set up in every classroom, as well as on every balcony of the building. They also cover the area behind each building.
For monitoring the school grounds, outdoor Axis cameras were installed at the playground by the flagpole, entrance and exit. They provide configurable video streams in H.264 format, along with motion and tampering detection.
