Joe Boissy, CMO
3VR, the video intelligence company, announced the addition of CMO Joe Boissy to the company's leadership team.

Boissy joins 3VR from IBM where he was director of go-to-market strategy and industry marketing for WebSphere enterprise software. Boissy, with more than 20 years of technology marketing experience, previously served as VP of worldwide marketing for ILOG, a supplier of business rule management systems, where he guided the company on a double-digit growth path resulting in an acquisition by IBM in July 2008. Prior to ILOG Boissy ran product marketing and product management at SunGard Trading and Risk and at Infinity Financial Technology, which was acquired by SunGard in 1997. He began his career at Paris-based Diagram Financial Software, now part of Thomson Reuters.

Intransa
David Nelson-Gal, VP of Engineering
Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services experts, announced it has named David Nelson-Gal VP of Engineering. Nelson-Gal is responsible for Intransa's ongoing product development efforts, including the design, quality assurance and delivery of Intransa's installer-ready server, storage and appliance infrastructure platforms that are purpose-built for the demands of open video surveillance and physical security.

Nelson-Gal has more than 20 years of engineering experience leading fast-paced enterprise software companies. Thirteen years in varied executive engineering assignments at Sun Microsystems included VP of Software Engineering where he led the company's next generation data center products and directed its appliance strategy. More recently he was senior VP of Engineering at Interwoven and joins Intransa from his role of CPO at Syncapse Corporation.

Mark Modica, VP of Business Development, Video Surveillance
Pivot3, the leading supplier of IP SANs to the video surveillance market, announced that surveillance industry veteran Mark Modica has been appointed to the newly created position of VP of Business Development, Video Surveillance.

Richard Bravman, Pivot3 CEO, commented, "We're seeing strong growth and marketplace success in our core surveillance business and continued progress is a critical part of our strategy. We created this new position to drive focus on our company goal of securing additional market share gains across the most storage-rich vertical segments including transportation, government, gaming and municipal surveillance. Modica has the domain knowledge and industry relationships to accomplish this, and he already works closely with the ecosystem of resellers, solution partners and A&E professionals serving this space. His goal in this new role will be to grow our business by ensuring that, together with our partners, we consistently deliver success in all of our projects."

Protection 1
Juan Perdomo, Riverside area GM
Richard Rot, VP of Sales and Development
Protection 1, the second-largest electronic security company in the United States, announced that Juan Perdomo has been named their Riverside area GM.

Perdomo comes to Protection 1 most recently from Stanley Convergent Security Solutions. He gained a wealth of management experience at Stanley in his five years as South Florida general manger servicing Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. A 26-year industry veteran, Perdomo spent a year with HSM Protection Services as district general manager prior to joining the ranks at Stanley. He also served as VP of sales for Alarm Communication Technologies.

Richard Rot has been named their VP, sales and development. Rot comes to Protection 1 most recently from Stanley Convergent Security Solutions where he served as VP of field sales. A six-year industry veteran, Rot has also held a number of executive and management positions with Stanley.

APAC

Arecont Vision
Becky Zhou, VP of Asia Pacific
Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, announced the appointment of Becky Zhou as VP, Asia Pacific. The new position is a promotion for Zhou, who had previously served as the company's Regional Sales Director, APAC.

Ms. Zhou is a long-term employee with Arecont Vision and an established figure in the Asia Pacific region. Her responsibility is to manage the growing staff of regional sales managers and the company's sales representatives located in China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, India and Pakistan. In making the announcement, Scott Schafer, Executive VP, Arecont Vision commented on Ms. Zhou's tireless efforts as an advocate of IP megapixel technology throughout the region.
