Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University is the first women's university in Saudi Arabia as well as the largest women-only university in the world. The University spreads over a total area of eight million square meters, of which the total built-up area is around three million square meters. There are about 40,000 women students presently at the university. The campus includes an administration building, a central library, conference centers, buildings for 15 academic faculties, several laboratories, a 700‐bed hospital equipped with state‐of‐the‐art facilities, housing for university staff, mosques, a kindergarten school, and exclusive amusement centers for families and students.

Hence, a number of IP cameras are installed along the fence and inside university buildings for perimeter protection and surveillance. Leveraging 986 pairs of industrial grade 10/100Base-TX + 100Base-FX media converters, each media converter is dedicated to one IP camera. OT Systems guarantees the safety and stability of data transfer in the site. Thanks to its Microtype design, the media converter is small enough to fit inside the IP camera housing. Its 24VAC power compatibility also shares a power source with the camera.
