ASSA ABLOY Hardware and Keying worked closely with John Barnes Locksmiths and architects, Architectus and S2F, to equip the school's new state-of-the-art facilities in Gatton, Australia.
The facilities will use Lockwood 3570 and 3580 mechanical and electric mortise locks, 1800 and 4800 series plate furniture, 7714 door closers and ABLOYProtec keying.
In March, the world-standard, 14,000-square-meter teaching complex was awarded a regional commendation at the Darling Downs Queensland Architecture Awards. It spans five buildings and includes a major research facility, a teaching hospital for both small and large animals, laboratories for post-mortem and anatomical teaching, animal-holding facilities and administrative offices.

The school also recently won accreditation with the Australasian Veterinary Board and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and is seeking to gain accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association.
