SW24, the New York City-based security services company, has announced a $250,000 sales contract with Mediacom, the seventh-largest cable television and communications services provider in the United States, for cameras and security services training to help protect 80 Mediacom locations in five states.
SW24, the New York City-based security services company, has announced a $250,000 sales contract with Mediacom, the seventh-largest cable television and communications services provider in the United States, for cameras and security services training to help protect 80 Mediacom locations in five states.
SW24 said this is only an initial contract and that plans call for additional protection of Mediacom sales, service, data centers and warehouse locations that may eventually include over 200 locations in 22 states in the next 12 months.
"With more than 20,000 cameras installed with its clients, it was clear that SW24 had the experience and expertise to assist Mediacom to help design a video surveillance system that met our need to monitor dozens of locations simultaneously,” said Peter Lyons, Group VP, Information Technology. SW24 said its services would include system design, hardware training and installation assistance to Mediacom. Three test sites are already running in Nogales, Arizona; Des Moines, Iowa and Middletown, New York at Mediacom facilities the company said.
"Mediacom serves over 1,500 communities across the country with state of the art communications services," said Lyons. "SW24 was the natural choice to meet our need for a technologically-advanced platform for managing physical security."
