Intellio Technologies, a developer of intelligent video analytics systems, announced a $US 2-million investment by PortfoLion, the venture capital arm of OTP Bank, a bank in central and eastern Europe. The funding will be used to accelerate Intellio's international expansion, and ensure further development of its software solutions, including Intellio's customer analytics solution.

“This investment gives Intellio the backing of a European financial institution, putting a stamp of approval on Intellio's products and potential,” said János Kópházi, CEO of Intellio.

Intellio is the developer of a new generation of video surveillance systems based entirely on network cameras with real-time video analytics on-board the cameras. Intellio received venture capital funding from Primus Capital Partners prior to the current round from PortfoLion. Intellio works with a network of value-added resellers worldwide, and counts DHL and Iron Mountain, Hungary's Interior Ministry, the Consulate of Malta, Hungary's national railroad operator (MáV) and national highway authorities among its customers.

“PortfoLion recognizes Intellio as an innovative Hungarian company with a solid background and a promising future in Europe and beyond,” said Péter Oszkó, CEO and President of PortfoLion.
