Personnel Tracking of the Week

Brivo Systems, a provider of Software as a Service applications for security management, announced that the company’s President and CEO, Steve Van Till, has been appointed to the position of Chair of the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) Standards Committee. Van Till is also serving his second term as a member of the SIA’s Board of Directors.

Brivo Systems, a provider of Software as a Service applications for security management, announced that the company's President and CEO, Steve Van Till, has been appointed to the position of Chair of the Security Industry Association's (SIA) Standards Committee. Van Till is also serving his second term as a member of the SIA's Board of Directors.

The Standards Committee was originally formed in 2003 to promote technical standards within the security industry, and subsequently chartered the Open, System Integration, and Performance Standards (OSIPS) project.

In Van Till's discussions to be considered for the Chair position, he noted that “OSIPS was originally created in an era when there were no other standards activities going on in our industry. Since then, we've seen a welcome endorsement of standards in the formation of several other organizations, including both ONVIF and PSIA.”

CNL Software,
Jeremy Morton, Director of Sales

CNL Software appointed Jeremy Morton as the Director of Sales for CNL Americas. Morton brings more than eight years of experience in channel development, product management and sales leadership. He will oversee the US sales operation of CNL.

Morton joins CNL with both a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology and a Master's of Science in Biometric Technology from Purdue University, Indiana. He has most recently worked as GM, OEM and Strategic Accounts for Ingersoll Rand since 2008. He has several years of previous experience in the security industry with positions at Schneider Electric and Verizon Business.

Fujitsu Frontech North America,
Garrick Palmer, North American Biometric Solutions Sales

Fujitsu Frontech North America, a provider of IT-based business solutions, including technology products, biometric security and digital media solutions, announced Garrick Palmer has been appointed to lead the North American Biometric Solutions sales effort for the health care industry. Palmer will report directly to Christer Bergman, VP of Biometric Solutions, Fujitsu Frontech North America.

Palmer brings more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience to his new role at Fujitsu. Most recently, he served as Health care Technology Sales Manager for Oracle. Prior to Oracle, Palmer held positions at organizations including IBM and Cerner, and was CIO at a community health system in Texas.

Senstar,
Mark Novak, Global Member for Great Britain, Ireland and the Middle East

Senstar, a provider of outdoor perimeter security technology and products, welcomed a new member to its global team. Mark Novak will head up Senstar, the company's UK-based operation responsible for the territories of Great Britain, Ireland and the Middle East.

Novak is an accomplished security professional who has worked in the U.K., EMEA and U.S. with Vigilant Technology since 2001 and among other positions there, most recently served as their global VP of Sales and Marketing.

Prior to Vigilant, Novak worked with Cambridge Neurodynamics, Primary Image and Group 4 Technology where he held business development roles.

Jack Tomarchio, Board of Director

SightLogix, a supplier for outdoor video analytics systems for perimeter security applications, appointed Jack Tomarchio to its Board of Directors. Tomarchio is a respected homeland security and intelligence professional and will help in guiding the strategic direction of the company to grow in the federal, state and local government markets.

Tomarchio is a former Deputy under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis Operations under President George W. Bush. In this capacity, Tomarchio was the primary senior official in charge of the intelligence director's partnership with state and local governments to build a domestic intelligence sharing network. Prior to his presidential appointment, Tomarchio practiced law with an expertise in national security issues. He recently retired as a Colonel from the United States Army Reserve where his last assignment was with the United States Special Operations Command.

Bill Newill, Executive VP
Don Williams, VP, Cyber and Cloud Applications

Viscount Systems appointed Bill Newill as Executive VP. Newill's primary responsibility will be managing the company's enterprise-wide sales efforts targeting major accounts and US government markets. Don Williams has been appointed VP, Cyber and Cloud Applications. Williams primary responsibility will be managing business opportunities with US government prime contractors involved with intelligence and military projects.

With more than 20 years' experience managing sales and marketing at security manufacturing organizations and large system integrators, Newill's knowledge of access control, security systems and RFID technology is well known throughout the industry. Newill began his career with E.I. DuPont and NSA before running his own company for five years and finally joining the security industry. Prior to joining Viscount, he spent eight years at one of the manufacturers of readers and cards/tags while at the same time developing a new RFID business division for the company.
