CEM Systems, part of Tyco Security Products, has secured Kraft Food's sites in India. Kraft Foods India has been secured with CEM security management system which was installed by CEM resellers, Neural Integrated Systems.

Kraft Foods is the largest confectionary company with factories located worldwide.

“As CEM approved partners we are pleased to be in the position to offer Kraft Foods a fully integrated and highly proven security solution,” said Tarun Gupta, Director for Neural Integrated Systems. “The system is a feature rich yet affordable solution that allows us to be able to meet Cadbury's requirements and budget.”

The security system will secure up to 64 doors spread across multiple locations. Using software features the client can increase operational efficiency and protect against intruders or theft. Applications offered include alarm and event display, visual imaging pass production and zone monitor application that shows security which staff work in which areas/zones.

Visual imaging pass production allows the user to produce permanent and temporary ID badges for staff and visitors to the Kraft Offices & Manufacturing facilities. This will ensure all those on site have an access card with the correct privileges to gain admission to areas throughout the building. If someone forces a door at an access point, the application can be used to view the alarm and respond to it in real time.

“The Cadbury-Kraft Foods project marks yet another world renowned brand using a CEM solution,” said Andrew Fulton, Business Development Director, CEM Systems. “The security management is a the perfect fit for Cadbury, as it has been designed to meet the complete security needs of small to medium sized sites and features hardware products that are leading the industry”.

To secure doors throughout the factory, Cadbury-Kraft Foods chose CEM door control modules. The two-door controller is designed to interface third-party readers with the system range. Utilizing existing Ethernet connectivity without the need to set up additional cabling, the module is easy to install. With an internal database to hold offline transactions the solution communicates directly with the server, ensuring 24/7 card validation at all times. This ensures that the factory is always kept secure.
