O’Neal, who brings significant global experience in business consulting and the electronics industry, joins Linear from Gibson Guitar. There he served as President of the company’s North American operations. O’Neal also served as CEO of several high-tech electronics corporations, such as Phillips Accessories and Peripherals and Gemini Industries, among others. Prior to that, he served as a Management Consultant to governments, businesses and not-for-profit organizations, helping them pursue strategic changes and new market opportunities. Earlier in his career, O’Neal was a Chief of Staff and Special Assistant to the Governor of New Jersey.

Linear has named Michael O'Neal as its new President. Concurrently, Dan Stottlemyre, Linear's President since 2005, was named Vice Chairman of the Linear Group.

O'Neal, who brings significant global experience in business consulting and the electronics industry, joins Linear from Gibson Guitar. There he served as President of the company's North American operations. O'Neal also served as CEO of several high-tech electronics corporations, such as Phillips Accessories and Peripherals and Gemini Industries, among others. Prior to that, he served as a Management Consultant to governments, businesses and not-for-profit organizations, helping them pursue strategic changes and new market opportunities. Earlier in his career, O'Neal was a Chief of Staff and Special Assistant to the Governor of New Jersey.

Stottlemyre, a 23-year veteran of the Linear organization, has presided over a lengthy period of diversification and has been instrumental in its growth and success during his tenure. He has played a key role in identifying and cultivating countless new and successful relationships, and literally thousands of new products, during his time in the position as President. Now, he looks forward to his new role as Vice Chairman.

Keith Moreman, Area VP for National Accounts on the West Coast

Protection 1, an electronic security company in the U.S., appointed Keith Moreman as Area VP for National Accounts on the West Coast.

Moreman comes to Protection 1 from ADT Security Services where he spent the last 10 years, most recently as the Commercial Area Sales Manager for the Rocky Mountain Region, leading seven managers and 55 Account Executives across nine states. Prior to that, Moreman served in area manager roles in New England, northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Hess also held various field operations roles in sales and installation and Branch Management in multiple markets across country. Prior to joining ADT, he held sales management positions with WorldCom and Compaq.

Albert Pimentel, Executive VP, Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Seagate announced that Albert “Rocky” Pimentel has joined the company as Executive VP, Worldwide Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Pimentel will lead the global team comprising sales, sales operations, product line management, marketing and retail.

Pimentel has served on Seagate's Board of Directors since 2009 and has played a central leadership role at a number of technology companies. His storage industry experience includes being a member of the early Seagate management team working with founders Al Shugart and Finis Conner as well as being part of the founding management team of Conner Peripherals. Since that time, his diverse career experience included having served as COO and CFO of McAfee, and SVP and CFO of LSI Logic. His lengthy background also includes serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Xilinx, as well as senior leadership positions at Glu Mobile, Zone Labs, WebTV Networks and Redpoint Ventures. His experiences in storage, enterprise software, consumer software, internet services, digital media and consumer appliances complements the current and future market opportunities Seagate is pursuing.

Nicolas Richter, Manager of UCP of Norbain Group

In a move designed to build on the Vista brand's UK success and increase its penetration in overseas markets, Norbain Group has created a new business entity, Ultimate CCTV Products (UCP).

Following a strategic review, UCP will become the owner of the group's own brand trademarks and intellectual property rights. To lead the new venture, Norbain has appointed Nicolas Richter, who joined the company this week.

Active in the security industry for more than 20 years and fluent in five languages, Richter has extensive experience of managing businesses in an international environment. Most recently, he was responsible for the Siemens Security Products business, where he led the sales, marketing and product portfolio teams for CCTV, intruder and access control. During his 12 years at Siemens, he gained extensive experience driving product marketing and management functions as well as innovation with the R&D activities in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia and Ireland. Previously, Richter worked for international companies including Compagnie des Signaux, Ritzenthaler, Thorn Security and Philips Electronics.
