Reliable security biometric access control system is a must for law enforcement agencies. In order to operate in a harsh and mission-critical environment, biometric system is supposed to have some requirements for better performance.

With system design and security features that make it reliable under harsh operating environment, PSP access control system can satisfy the requirements for law enforcement agencies and is considered as a premium biometric solution.

PSP system was selected by the Correctional Services Department (CSD) of the Hong Kong Government as access control system for its correctional facilities.

Different from previous fingerprint device, PSP system is a contactless biometric solution with facial recognition. It protects privacy and personal data of the correctional officers.

Although biometric system is commonly used in daily lives, users still have concerns about personal privacy and how their personal data is being protected by the system.

The system can virtually support unlimited number of users because it stores users' facial data on a personal smart card. Since user has possession of thier cards, the system eliminates risks associated with personal data storage, misuse and security. Data stored on the card is encrypted and cannot be used to regenerate user facial images.
