Mirasys, a provider of open platform digital surveillance solutions, which supports close to 600 different camera models, opened a new office in Frankfurt, Germany, which will cover sales in the German, Austrian and Swiss (DACH) markets.
Mirasys' move into the region stems from demand and growth potential for VMS for IP-based surveillance solutions as well as hybrid solutions which allow the use of analog and network cameras in one system simultaneously. The move follows Mirasys' expansion into Italy and Thailand in March 2010 and demonstrates continued global expansion and corporate success.
Klaus Seibold, former Senior Director Commercial Relationship at RIM (BlackBerry) has been appointed as Country Manager at Mirasys' Frankfurt office. Seibold has a passion for the DACH markets and has worked for more than 20 years in various regional and European-wide sales and marketing roles. Seibold has varied experience, working with corporate customers, channel partners and system integrators as well as OEMs.
“The opening of a new office in Germany is a next step in our journey of global expansion. Seibold is a great addition to the team; he is a seasoned and skilled professional who is dedicated to ensuring that Mirasys' offering addresses the needs of the large-scale enterprises within the DACH markets. High demand means that this region has the potential to become one of the most influential and demanding markets for Mirasys,” said Jukka Riivari, CEO, Mirasys.
