Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), announces the opening of its new offices in India, located in Karnataka, in the south western region of India.
Milestone Systems started operation in India in 2006 from its Dubai office, and since then the number of staff has increased from 1 member to 7 and is expected to increase by another 5 staff members in 2018. Milestone Systems India increases its growth by 20% plus YoY. According to country manager Amit Sarkar, Milestone Systems India, Milestone Systems has a strong foothold in the Indian market with a market share of >20 per cent, which is due to, among other things, a strong community of partners.
“We are well grounded in the market with our open platform business model and our community of camera and software partners in all parts of India. We currently have about 60 partners on board and our aim is to increase this number to 200 active partners in 2018,” says Amit Sarkar.
In 2017, Milestone Systems increased their share of the Indian market within verticals such as government, oil & gas as well as the retail segment just as they won three city surveillance projects, and Amit Sarkar is confident about the future:
“We've founded a solid basis for Milestone Systems in the Indian market and looking ahead we intend to keep the growth rate around >30 percent in 2018 compared to 2017.”
