QNAP and SANYO Announce Cooperation to Provide World-class Network Surveillance Solutions

The world's first standalone NVR to support complete line-up of SANYO Full HD 1080p network cameras
QNAP NVRTaipei, Taiwan, March 2010 - QNAP Security, a world class manufacturer of Linux-embedded standalone Network Video Recorder (NVR) solutions, today announced its entire VioStor? NVR series to support the complete Full HD 1080p network camera line-up from SANYO, a world leading network camera manufacturer, to provide high-end network surveillance solutions for a wide range of networked security applications. The support for SANYO Full HD network cameras is now available by free upgrade of the management software of QNAP VioStor? NVR series to version 3.2.0.
Along with the latest VioStor? NVR firmware 3.2.0, the advanced event management is provided to support diversified event types and event handling options such as multi-channel recording, automatic adjustment of the PTZ camera to the preset positions, alarm output, sending email and SMS alert, buzzer, and user-defined action by HTTP URL command. The user management is also strengthened to allow the administrator to assign individual user access rights (monitoring/ playback/ system administration) according to their user type. Other powerful features of the firmware 3.2.0 include video search by intelligent video analytics (IVA), generic IP camera support, digital watermarking, multi-server monitoring (up to 120 channels), and advanced RAID configurations with hot-swap design.
