Today, let’s make a comparison between AHD Cameras and Analog cameras.

Price:
AHD Cameras is little big higher than analog cameras.

Resolution:
At present, Analog Cameras can reach 1000tvl definition.
AHD Cameras support 1MP and 1.3MP resolution.
AHD resolution is better than Analog cameras.

Matched DVR:
AHD Cameras are compatible with both AHD DVR and analog DVR. Until now, only 4ch/8ch/16ch AHD DVRs exist.
Analog cameras can hook only analog DVR. However, more types DVR as 24ch/32ch etc are available. Analog DVR system is more matured than AHD system.

Cables:
AHD Cameras’ and Analog cameras’ signal transmits over coaxial cable.
When using Balun plus UTP cable, the analog cameras signal can be transmitted over 1 kilometer while AHD Cameras’ signal can e transmitted only 250m.

Many suppliers think that AHD cameras will replace the Analog Cameras in the future.
