Northeast Kansas Regional Homeland Security Council awarded a contract to TechRadium, a provider of mass notification, to leverage its patented IRIS technology to the region's 23 counties. IRIS will allow instantaneous transmission of information to homeland security offices, as well as notifying residents of northeast Kansas counties.

"TechRadium is pleased IRIS has been chosen for this important task, supplying and protecting homeland security communications under both emergency and non-emergency conditions," said Ryan Rodkey, Chairman and CEO of TechRadium.

In addition to internal communications by homeland security personnel, residents of northeast Kansas counties will also be able to use IRIS if accepted by their county. Residents can "opt-in" by going to their individual county website and entering their contact information in order to sign up for IRIS.
