Veracity , a provider for connectivity and transmission solutions for IP video, appointed Chad Cooper as its new VP of Business Development.

Veracity has continued to grow its US operations with the appointment of Chad Cooper as its first VP of Business Development. Cooper has significant experience within the security industry, having worked as a Director at ACTi USA. Cooper was responsible for establishing the US operation from a standing start in 2005 to achieving sales in eight figures by 2009. During this period, he built a team of 28 employees and was personally responsible for a US$1.6 million sale of surveillance equipment to 12 Hawaii international airports.

Cooper has held senior sales management roles for a host of IP video vendors including Northern Computers and recording specialist Nice Systems. Cooper's appointment strengthens the expanding Veracity USA team led by CEO Scott Sereboff. Cooper will be based in Seattle, Washington, to provide geographic coverage for the Pacific Coast.

Veracity is predicting 60-percent sales growth for 2010, as it launches a range of IP connectivity products, as well as a patented data storage system designed for surveillance. COLDSTORE uses linear array of idle disks technology to store data sequentially, to minimize read/write head wear and vibration, improve disk reliability, file access and dramatically reduce energy usage.

"Everybody in the security industry will know about Cooper's exceptional achievements at ACTi and his previous roles," said Scott Sereboff, CEO, Veracity USA. "His arrival at Veracity is great news. We welcome Cooper to the growing Veracity team and wish him every success."

"Veracity is well known across the USA for its exceptional innovation and creativity to solve IP connectivity issues and COLDSTORE is set to bring data storage for IP surveillance into a new dimension. I am proud to be joining Veracity as it has such strong potential and I look forward to ensuring growth is delivered," said Chad Cooper, VP of Business Development, Veracity USA.
