In addition, Proximex signed partnerships with system integrators Pointer, Lysys, GulfAsia and Probiz, giving Proximex a presence in the U.K., Central Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South Africa and India. Sherlock has strong commercial and business development experience and has achieved sales success across multiple verticals, including financial services and corporate markets. He came from Orsus as the company's UK MD. At Orsus, Sherlock developed and managed the UK business where he helped set marketing strategy, developed a key partner channel and supported international sales teams in South Africa, Portugal, Russia and the U.S. in addition to the EMEA team. Prior to Orsus, Sherlock founded Cinario, developers of a critical infrastructure management application to address compliance issues in health and safety, security, energy and operations sectors. Cinario became the brand leader for risk management before Sherlock sold the company to Orsus in 2008.
Sherlock's IT experience stems from senior positions held at AIB and Gateway. In addition, he ran a large team of IT system integrators that delivered the latest Internet-enabled solutions to the Irish corporate market. Sherlock began his international experience with Norkom Technologies, one of Ireland's most successful software companies, where he drove Norkom's strategic shift from CRM analytics to financial fraud detection and anti-money laundering solutions. Today, Norkom is the leading international player in its market.
