Taiwanese School Deploys Etrovision IP Solutions

Taiwanese School Deploys Etrovision IP Solutions
Project Mission A school in Taiwan had been searching for a solution to replace the existing surveillance system and reach a higher security level. However, the existing system is a 128-CH surveillance system with stand-alone DVR software, which is not compatible with network camera. Take the huge cost of replacement into consideration; Etrovision constructs a hybrid solution, including Etrovision network camera, video server, QNAP NVR software, and D-Link switch, to migrate the analog signal into digital without discarding the existing system.

Project Mission
A school in Taiwan had been searching for a solution to replace the existing surveillance system and reach a higher security level.

Solution
Deploying 128 pieces EV3151A video server, nine pieces EV6356A outdoor network cameras, and 39 pieces EV6551A dome cameras to complete the structure. Etrovision's rack mount kit is also utilized to reach the neat wiring allocation. The embedded NVR software from QNAP, switch from D-Link, and the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) device help to reach the complete solution and successfully renew the whole system.

EV3151A video server is used to collocate with the existing analog cameras. This compact video server supports M-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264 dual streams simultaneously compression format, two-way audio, DI/DO, PTZ control, and Wi-Fi USB Dongle. Its compact size suits for any special requirement such as space limited environment, outdoor housing, or specific wiring allocation. It is the most economic option for users to migrate the analog system to IP-based one.

The outdoor camera, EV6356A, is deployed in playground, parking space, or other outdoor environments. This professional PoE outdoor camera is equipped with 12 pcs high-light LEDs, reaches up to 35-meter IR range, and has IP66-rated and pressure die-casting aluminum construction. Also, it supports H.264, MPEG-4, and M-JPEG dual streams simultaneously.

EV6551A, the vandal/weatherproof dome network camera is also installed in this project. This camera has varifocal lens, 3-axis bracket design, and high resolution CCD sensor to provide the best image quality and flexible operation. Also it supports IR for day and night requirements and PoE power supply option.

In four multisite computer rooms and a control center, the rack mount kit of Etrovision (RMK-61), which can accommodate 6 pieces of EV3151A, are installed to provide the neat allocation. The embedded NVR software and UPS ensures the powerful central management.

Achievement
The success of this project not only upgrades the analog system into an IP-based one but offers much easier and more flexible maintenance for several reasons. For example, since the system has reached the powerful management, it is unnecessary for users to worry about the wiring allocation as updating in the future. Furthermore, users can install the camera each by each or flexibly reduce the number of cameras.
